# Can Slackbot edit your diagrams? Slackbot MCP plans, limits and costs

> **Direct answer:** Slackbot can use MCP apps (Miro, Figma, Linear, Arialine and others) to read and change content for you, but only where Slackbot is available: it is included on Slack **Business+** with a limit of **15 Slackbot messages per member per week**, and on **Enterprise+** without weekly limits. On **Free and Pro**, Slackbot is available only during a trial or preview, and those preview messages don't reset. Apps that work through their own commands, mentions and shortcuts — like Arialine — work on every plan.

Usage beyond the plan limit can be paid with Flex Credits. Slack has also said advanced Slackbot capabilities released after June 2026 may move to usage-based pricing, with 30 days' notice.

## How MCP apps connect

1. Someone who can install apps installs an app that includes an MCP server (for example Miro).
2. Each member **connects their own account** for that app. From then on Slackbot can use all of that app's tools for them.
3. The member asks Slackbot in natural language; Slackbot picks the tools.

On Pro and Business+, admins cannot restrict which MCP servers or tools are used; that control is only on Enterprise Grid and Enterprise+.

## What 15 messages a week means in practice

Creating a diagram and then refining it usually takes several turns: "make a flowchart from this thread", "add the retry path", "rename the worker", "move billing to the right". At 15 messages a week, one person can do a few such sessions before the allowance runs out.

## Diagramming in Slack without Business+

Arialine is a Slack app, not a Slackbot feature, so it works on every plan:

- `/arialine` → paste Mermaid (rendered without AI) or describe the diagram.
- Reply in the diagram thread: `@arialine add a cache in front of the database` → version 2.
